The International Workshop on “Impact of Asian Megacity Development on Local to Global Climate Change"

The International Workshop on “Impact of Asian Megacity Development on Local to Global Climate Change” was held on 21-22 Dec. 2011, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, China. It is the 2nd MOST-JST Project Meeting, the first meeting was held in Beijing in 2011. The workshop is sponsored Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), China; Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), Japan; Nanjing University and Monsoon Asia Integrated Regional Study (MAIRS).

The workshop was attended JST-MOST project scientists and  expects in the megacity area from Australia, USA, and Chinese Taiwan. The workshop includes 3 sessions: Urban land cover change and climate; Urban aerosol and climate; and Urban Planning.

The third year meeting will be held in Japan next Oct. in Nagoya.
